Egis Road Operation Uganda, the contractor that maintains and operates the Kampala-Entebbe Expressway has today donated a series of items to the maternity ward of Kajjansi Health Center IV. The items donated are to better facilitate the maternity ward in regards to mothers who cannot afford the required kits during child birth.
Kajjansi Health Center IV receives about five (5) women giving birth every day with some unable to afford the required kits that include; gloves, cotton, birth sheets etc.
As health and safety being one of our priorities, Egis is set out to serve and uplift the communities that surround the expressway and what better way to celebrate Mother’s Day this year by supporting the safe delivery of the very people who give us life.
“Egis Road Operation Uganda will continue to show its commitment towards improving the livelihoods of communities around the expressway. We identified this health center because it has an urgent need and services quite a number of expecting mother’s around the community. The donation and continuous support from Egis will go a long way in improving the services offered by the health center.
The donation is part of this year’s Mother’s Day celebration by Egis some of the items donated to the maternity ward of the hospital are; (mama kits, soap, sugar bread and others)
Egis Road Operation Uganda will continue to carry out various other activities to support and uplift the communities around the expressway.
